Tell Elitist Obama Why You Are Not Bitter
Senator Obama must think we are pulling hayseeds from our teeth here
in Michigan given some of the comments he made last week at a California fundraisier:
"You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
Here's your opportunity to tell Harvard-trained lawyer Senator Barack Obama why you are not bitter with America, or cling to your faith out of frustration, but, rather, are disappointed in politicians who want to raise taxes on families and businesses during a recession, or nationalize nearly 20 percent of our country's Gross Domestic Product (healthcare), or criminalize parents who want to do nothing more than educate their children the best way they know how.
Put your comments below, and we'll highlight them on MIGOP.org.
Bill Kristol has a great column about Obama's intellectual elitsm today in the NY Times http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/14/opinion/14kristol.html?_r=1&ref=opinion&oref=slogin . He draws parallels to Karl Marx that are pretty astute. I think it comes down to the fact that there are two Americans: people who love America and people who love the idea of America. I think Obama and Clinton fall into the later category.
